Lily (Lat. Lilium) - a genus of plants of the lily family. All types - bulbous plants. Stems erect, leafy, from 20 to 300 cm in height. Leaves linear or lanceolate, usually sessile, alternate. Bulbs in diameter 2-20 cm, ovate, rounded, have stolons, concentric or rhizome structure. The bulb is made up of stems and scales. Real roots, stems grow from bulbs, there are species in which they appear in the underground part of the stem.
