    The children said to Tom : " The teacher gave you a good mark".

    He learned : " The man has formerly been (или was formerly) a brave general".

    We heard over the radio : " The frost will be still harder tomorrow."

    She was afraid : " The day will be cold and rainy."

    Harry said: " It has not been raining at least for two days".

    The girl said : "My brothers have gone (или went) to ski".

    Father said:" I have already looked through the morning newspapers".

    Nina's girlfriend said : " I have managed (или managed) to get tickets"
