Freelancing has become a very popular job in our modern society. According to a certain survey, about one-third of Americans are freelancers. The number of freelancers is also growing in other countries like Russia.

Most people imagine graphic design, writing, or business consulting when they think of freelancing, but actually it is much more diverse than that. In fact, t he top industries for freelance jobs are currently in education, writing, translation, graphic design, consulting, computer and IT, accounting and finance, web development, entertainment, healthcare, and sales and marketing. That is a lot of diversity!

Also, many of the jobs in those industries did not exist a decade ago. Which indicates that this market is innovating new jobs at a fast rate.

Many freelancers have also reported to have a full-time job. This means that they don't fully depend on their freelancing work to pay the bills.

Freelancing is an interesting alternative to traditional work, and I think that it will continue to expand in the future.
